There is a lesson in how President Obama is approaching governance that I think is worth talking about. Not from a political point of view, but from a marketing and organizational perspective.

We are seeing him engage what is percieved as the "other side". His first interview as President Obama is with Al-Arabiya, an Arab broadcast network. Then he makes an unpresidented visit to the Capital where he has a meeting with Congressional Republicans.

My take-aways…

• There is valuable utility in meeting one's business/organizational opponent face-to-face
  
• Trust in the power of words to meet your objectives.
